Hi all, as a linguist I've been looking for rock, hiphop, reggae r and b and such from spanish french and German artists. German has seemed to be the most responsive, with artists like die Ärzte, Seeed, Gentalman, Toten Hosen and Kurz, as well as others, Has anyone got ideas for french or spanish stuff in any of these languages? artists I should look up, ETC? I'd be perfectly willing to trade material back and fourth. Holla

Hmm, well for Spanish there are certain artists I've heard...David Bisbal, Shakira, Juanes, Alejandro Lerner and Carlos San Tana....but if you're looking for songs in both english and Spanish I know that Selina has written some of those...anyway I hope this helps...sorry I don't really know about French ones.

That's what happens when somebody doesn't read carefully.
Of cource i have got Greek music if you want but not any of the genres you asked for.
But if you are still interested let me know.
Sorry about that. Next time i will have to read more carefully.

There's a french singer called Camille who's quite big at the moment, and I think she's absolutely exquisite, but she tends to the melodically strange. Otherwise, I have a two-disk compilation of french stuff that I love, with huge variety, including some hip-hop and a bit of reggae, but no rap. The french love their electronica. Spanish, hmmmm, how much of a purist are you? Do you want spanish as spoken in Spain? Because if you expand your horizons to South America... it's mind-blowing, especially if you're a percussion fan.
I know bugger all about German music, unless you want to go back two hundred years or so.
Drop us an email if you want to exchange anything. Bit torrents are wonderful things.
